We are looking for a candidatefor the role of Senior Research Scientist / Project Manager to supportour efforts to create a revolutionary therapeutic tool for the treatment of awide range of CNS diseases.
- Plan and deliver project-specific cell biology research tasks (hands-onwork and delegation to assistants/technicians).
- Design and development of innovative new in vitro preclinicalR&D models, including cell-based assays, genetically modifiedcell lines, stable and transient transfections/transductions.
- Testing the expression and function of designer GPCRs, signalingpathway analysis.
- Design, screening and evaluation of mutant GPCR libraries.
- Overseeing the whole project including in vivo studies and businessdevelopment processes.
- Short- and long-term planning of project activities.
- Analyze complex scientific questions via reviewing the availablescientific and non-scientific literature, synthetize data quickly and effectively,provide options for the possible solution of the issue.
- Effectively work together with external experts, academicpartners and CRO companies.
- Regularly make presentations, reports to project-related meetings, etc.
- PhD degree in medicine, pharmacology, biology, biomedicalengineering, or other in a biomedical discipline.
- 3+ years of post-doctoral research experience in an academic orindustry setting in cell biology.
- Solid background in cell biology.
- Solid background in working with GPCRs.
- 5+ years of experience in pharmaceutical R&D.
- Experience in project management in an industrial environment.
- Experience with fluorescence-based assays.
- Experience with cell line generation.
- Experience in working with neuronal cells.
- Experience in working with yeasts.
